My Guy Heating & Air- Plan to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19

As a service provider deemed ESSENTIAL by the state of California, we are doing our part to “flatten the curve” and quell the spread of COVID-19 in our community.

Escondido, CA – As news on the coronavirus (COVID-19) changes from minute to minute, the health and safety of our customers, team and community remains the number one priority of My Guy Heating & Air. As a locally owned company, we are prepared to continue serving Escondido and surrounding areas while exercising expanded health and safety practices.

Due to kids and families working from home and using their HVAC and electrical systems at 2x the normal rate, it is imperative that repairs get taken care of immediately.

While My Guy Heating & Air already works hard to maintain health and safety standards, we are expanding our policies to do our part in “flattening the curve.” These additional measures include:

  • Gloves and floor savers – fresh pair in every home.
  • Allowing proper space between technicians and clients.
  • All dirty filters, trash, floor savers and gloves used in clients homes will be disposed of in homeowner’s outdoor trash cans.
  • Credit Card Payment will be applied online through Square.
  • If clients are paying by check, the tech will do a mobile capture and will have a plastic bag for removal of the check.
  • If clients are experiencing any flu-like symptoms we will not be able to service at this time. This is for the protection of our employees and your family.

We are monitoring the situation as it progresses and we are consistently following the guidelines of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as the policies of our local, state and federal governments.

As it stands, NO My Guy Heating & Air employees have tested positive for COVID-19. If this changes, we will take action to prevent the further spread of the virus. Additionally, if any employee exhibits symptoms of COVID-19 they will be self-quarantined and relieved of duty until they are healthy and no longer contagious. It is our promise to maintain full transparency with our community.

It is imperative to the initiative of containing the virus that essential systems remain working properly. My Guy Heating & Air is fully prepared to handle an increase in demand for these services while maintaining current and expanded safety standards.

We are all concerned about COVID-19 and how it is affecting our community, but we have a plan of action to protect the well-being of our customers and the well-being of our team. We will take every precaution necessary to get the job done in a safe and responsible manner – for everyone involved.
